FIRST year students at Inverness College UHI got a chance to see what the university and city could offer at the annual Freshers’ Fair.

There were stands from more than 100 local businesses and Deborah Halliday, vice president of activities and welfare, said there had been a good turnout.

She added: “This event was just one part of our Freshers’ Week, which has included a Comedy Night and Pub Quiz at Revolution, a Freshers’ Takeover Night at the Caledonian Bar, a tennis taster at Inverness Tennis and Squash Club, and a trip on the Dolphin Spirit.”

University president George Gunn said: “This has been the biggest series of Freshers’ events that Inverness has ever seen. The diversity of the events and opportunities on offer reflects the range of students that we attract at Inverness College UHI.”
