PHOTO SPECIAL:- Netflix hit The Crown in the North East

Filming has been taking place in two nearby locations this week for The Crown.

Here are some more images of the action from our photographer Daniel Forsyth.

Covesea Lighthouse and Lossiemouth West Beach on Tuesday:

And here are some extra images of the cast and crew while they were filming at Macduff Harbour the day before:

Oscar-winner Imelda Staunton is set to play Elizabeth II in the upcoming fifth series of the hugely popular Netflix show.

Also present while filming tool place in the region was Claudia Harrison who appears to be taking over the role of Princess Anne.

She has previously been seen in the IT Crowd as well as the TV series Delicious which also featured Dawn French.

The actor seemingly playing Timothy Lawrence, Anne's husband, is Theo Fraser Steele.

He has previously appeared in The Thick of It as well as the 2007 film The Golden Compass.

Extra filming has also been taken place today at Ardverikie, which overlooks Loch Laggan.
