One person has been airlifted to hospital following an incident at Corrieshalloch Gorge.

The Scottish Ambulance Service said they were called out at 11.18am and airlifted one person to Raigmore Hospital.

It is not known what the incident was, although comments on social channels suggest the road at Corrieshalloch Gorge was closed for a time.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 11.18am to attend an incident at Corrieshalloch Gorge.

“An ambulance and air ambulance were dispatched to the scene, and one patient was transported by air ambulance to Raigmore Hospital.”

Flight trackers show the air ambulance took off from Inverness Airport at around 11.25am, arriving in the area of the gorge at around 11.40am.

It subsequently returned, landing at Raigmore at around 1.13pm. It then lifted off from the hospital at 2.02pm and returned to its base at Dalcross at 2.07pm.

Police have been approached for comment.
