POPULAR band Peat & Diesel have given a special performance to patients and staff at Highland Hospice.

The trio visited the Inverness headquarters of the charity yesterday, prior to performing at the city's Ironworks last night.

A spokesman for the hospice described it as a treat.

"This Stornoway trio performed a selection of their hits for a packed audience of patients, volunteers and staff," he said.

Drummer Uilly Macleod said: "It's really good to give something back to the community, helping make people happy by sharing our music."
