Mr Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser, told online magazine SYFY Wire: "Oh you see something out of the ordinary," referring to himself and co-star Graham McTavish.

Speaking about the episode from Loch Ness, due to air later this year, Mr Heughan said it was one of his favourites.

He said: "It's actually one of my favourite episodes. That's an interesting one [the Loch Ness episode] because, obviously, Scotland is so beautiful.
