THE OutDores organisers have put out a statement clarifying their plans for a rescheduled date which will now happen next year on Saturday, April 10.

They say: “Following the latest official guidance regarding Covid-19, OutDores organisers can now confirm the official cancellation of our rescheduled date on August 22 and a second rescheduled date in its place.

“We would like to state that this was originally a rescheduled date for our spring edition of the event – a decision made almost four months ago.

“That was before anyone new the fully devastating and prolonged effect this virus would have.

“Our greatest priority has always been the safety of those attending and working our events, as well as those living within the surrounding area. We want to make it clear that there was no intention to go ahead with this rescheduled event unless we were completely certain that we could guarantee the safety of those involved or living nearby.

“Although we are witnessing a decline in cases, and the easing of restrictions (particularly for outdoor venues), we still believe it would be a disrespectful and dangerous decision to go ahead with our event at this time.

“Our announcement comes at a time in which we feel we can deliver this message with more certainty and clarity, and when we can confirm plans for our event to return. Something which we feel is important when considering our communication with those who we have made contractual agreements with, and those who have purchased tickets for this event.

“We have now confirmed a new date which has allowed us to keep the initial line-up, as promised to ticket holders.”

The new date is Saturday, April 10, 2021.

All tickets bought remain valid for the rescheduled event.

But, the organisers say, Skiddle will offer all ticket holders the option to receive a full refund if preferred.

A small batch of re-sale tickets will be available on Friday for anyone who has not been able to buy tickets previously.

The OutDores sign off by saying: “Stay safe, look after each other, and we look forward to seeing you all in 2021.”
