One new recorded coronavirus case in NHS Highland area in past 24 hours

THE NHS Highland area has recorded one positive test for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.

The number of people who have tested positive for the coronavirus in the health board area since the start of the pandemic increased to 383 overnight.

The region's solitary new case was one of 18 positive tests recorded across Scotland in the past 24 hours, taking the national figure to 18,645.

Elsewhere in the north, NHS Grampian recorded six new cases taking its tally to 1457.

Scottish Government said there were no new reported deaths of people who have tested positive for the virus in Scotland.
