The A87 has partially re-opened at Invergarry following a house fire earlier today.

Firefighters are still checking for hotspots at the semi-detached property although the fire has been brought under control and no casualties have been reported.

The road was closed to traffic and a diversion put in place via Invermoriston and the A887 but one lane has now re-opened.

Police officers are managing the traffic.

Three appliances from Fort Augustus, Drumnadrochit and Foyers went to the scene after the alarm was raised at 11.36am.

Firefighters used two hose reel jets and two sets of breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze.
