Scottish Fire and Rescue Service crew use cutting equipment after one car crash on A96 approach to Inverness near Raigmore Interchange and Stoneyfield Business Park
One car was involved in a road accident that closed the A96 approach to Inverness for an hour and a half last night (Thursday, May 22).
Emergency services were called to the Stoneyfield Business Park turn-off near Raigmore Interchange after 10.20pm.
It is not yet known if there were any casualties, but firefighters used specialist cutting equipment at the scene.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Services spokeswoman said: “We mobilised two appliances in response to a one-vehicle accident near Stoneyfield Business Park on the A96.
“Hydraulic cutting equipment was used before our crews departed at 22.52.”
Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been asked for further details.
Transport Scotland reported that the road was closed westbound towards Inverness but had reopened by 12.20 am today.
