Obstruction on train line sparks disruption to services between Inverness and Perth





Train services between Inverness and the Central Belt are set to be disrupted after an obstruction on the line between Perth and Dunkeld & Birnam prompted the closure of both lines.

Services between Inverness and Perth will be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 30 minutes, Network Rail has announced.

According to ScotRail, disruption is expected to last until 10am today.

LNER services between Inverness and London Kings Cross are also affected by the closure.

Trains between Inverness and Wick are also at risk of disruption this morning due to icy conditions between the Highland Capital and Lairg.
