Inverness's branch of Oak Furnitureland is not included in current closure plans announced by owners.

It was announced yesterday that the firm is set to close 27 stores, placing 163 jobs at risk

Restructuring plans were announced a month after Oak Furnitureland was rescued from collapse in a pre-pack administration deal.

Its store at Telford Retail Park in Inverness is one of nine in Scotland.

It is understood now that the only Scottish store under threat is a clearance store in Cumbernauld.
