Vandals have targeted an Inverness school where they have broken play equipment.

The incident happened at Dalneigh Primary School.

In a post on social media, the school said: "We are again having problems with youths in the school grounds in the evening.

"They go on the school roof which is bad enough but last night broke nursery toys too.

"The police are aware we are having problems and are working with us."

There has been an angry reaction on social media.

"That's disgraceful. I hope they find out who did this and punish them," said one message.

Another said: "How shocking and very dangerous to be up on the roof."
