No suspicious circumstances as police confirm death of 74-year-old man at Ness Islands

Police Scotland have confirmed that a 74-year-old man died at Ness Islands on Monday (July 15).

Part of the popular beauty spot had been blocked off by officers earlier this week.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of the death of a 74-year-old man on Ness Islands, Inverness, around 10.50am on Monday, 15 July, 2024.

"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
