No plea to charge of dangerous driving following death of Inverness teacher

A 50-year-old man appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court today in connection with the death of an Inverness nursery teacher on the A82 near Drumnadrochit.

John O'Donnell, from Inverurie, faced a charge of causing death by dangerous driving. He made no plea, was committed for further examination and released on bail.

His appearance comes after Police Scotland released a statement on July 3 in regard to the fatal collision.

It read: "Police Scotland can confirm that a 50-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal road traffic collision on the A82 near Drumnadrochit.

"Chloe Morrison (26), from Drumnadrochit, died following the incident which happened at around 1.10pm on October 25.

"The man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving."
