Ward 5C closed at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness to avoid norovirus spread

Ward 5C at Raigmore Hospital has been closed to new admissions today due to new cases presenting symptoms of norovirus.

An Inverness hospital unit has been closed to new patients due to an increase in cases of diarrhoea and vomiting.

Ward 5C at Raigmore Hospital has been closed as a precautionary measure.

NHS Highland has asked members of the public with any symptoms of diarrhoea or vomiting to avoid visiting any hospitals or care homes until at least 48 hours after those symptoms have ceased, in a bid to tackle the spread of norovirus.
