Nairn Academy to welcome new staff after shortage concerns
In a recent newsletter, the school announced that new teachers for chemistry and modern languages are set to start in January, as well as a new pupil support assistant.
Three other members of staff will be joining the office and home economics support.
A school spokesperson said they were delighted to welcome new colleagues, with interviews for further vacancies for English and Religious, Moral and Philosophical Studiesa to start in the new year.

The newsletter read: ”As a school community, pupils, staff and parent/carers have all worked through some difficult and unusual circumstances this term with some staffing gaps.
“We are delighted to note that we have a number of new colleagues joining us in the new year. “We would like to thank everyone for their support and understanding through this term and send our very best wishes to our Team Nairn community for the festive season.“
It also welcomed progress with the construction of the new Nairn Academy building, which is expected to open in August 2026.
