New Year drivers warned of A9 disruption between Moy and Tomatin south of Inverness by Transport Scotland
Drivers on the A9 face two weeks of disruption south of Inverness to enable night-time roadside works.
Temporary traffic signals will be in place overnight between Tomatin and Moy five days a week for a fortnight from Monday, January 6 next year, to enable temporary site access and safe clearance for construction works.
Traffic signals will be in place between 7.30 pm and 0600 each night, with no works taking place on Friday or Saturday nights.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
A Transport Scotland spokesman said: “These temporary traffic measures are necessary to ensure road user and road worker safety and to safely manage traffic whilst work is undertaken.
“Road users are advised to approach the area with care and allow extra time for their journeys whilst these works are undertaken.
“This planned traffic management is weather dependent and subject to change, please refer to the Traffic Scotland website for updates.”
