Inverness is to get a temporary job centre in addition to the existing on in the town centre.

What's Happening Inverness posted some photos on social media showing work in progress at Telford retail park.

A DWP spokesman said that a number of temporary facilities were being set up throughout 2021 and 2022 to deal with increased demand.

He added: "The new job centres will provide services across the country where they are needed and will increase capacity to provide tailored face-to-face support in a Covid-secure environment and help support more people back into work and progress into new roles.

"We’ll review the need for these temporary job centres as the economy recovers. Young Street will remain open and providing its usual service too."
