A new section of General Booth Road in Inverness will open to traffic at Monday lunchtime.

It forms part on the ongoing West Link Stage 2 Project and connects the Kinmylies area with the A82.

Access is off a new roundabout on the A82. Temporary traffic signs will be installed and in use until new signs are installed over the coming months.

There are two new bus laybys in General Booth Road. Bus shelters will be installed later this month.

A Highland Council spokeswoman said: "The speed limit on General Booth Road is 30mph which will be reduced to 10mph when there are operatives or plant working on or adjacent to the road.

"The opening of this section of General Booth Road was postponed due to recent Covid-19 working restrictions. Both Highland Council and the contractor for the works, R J McLeod, would like to thank the public for their patience during this unavoidable delay."
