New Nessie 'sighting' on Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register is eighth one so far this year
Another possible sighting of Nessie has been reported by visitors to the area after they saw an unidentified movement in Loch Ness.
The sighting, which happened on July 19, has been registered on the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register and brings the total so far this year to eight.
It was reported by a man and his daughter visiting from Chester.
The register, which is kept by Gary Campbell, states: "They were hillwalking above Fort Augustus and made the sighting at 3.20pm.
"They said a cruise boat had passed some 20 minutes earlier but that there was no boat activity at the time of the sighting."
Mr Campbell said it showed that as Covid-19 restrictions were lifted, people were still seeing unidentified moving objects in Loch Ness.
The previous sighting was by a young man visiting from Cambridge.
He reported seeing an unidentified creature for two seconds in Urquhart Bay close to the castle.
The encounter happened on Wednesday June 2 about 1.30pm while he was scanning the loch surface with binoculars from the castle site.
