New Inverness live music venue An Seòmar on Church Street announces grand opening date
A new Inverness music venue which has replaced Revolution bar is set to open doors with a special ‘grand opening act’.
An Seòmar, the new bar built in the premises formerly occupied by the Church Street branch of Revolution, is set to open on December 12 with a secret grand opening act, it has been announced.
A festive season gig line-up featuring well-known names such as Torridon (who will play at Hogmanay) as well as Talisk and LF System has also been announced, with bookings set to go live tomorrow at 10am.
The latest addition to Inverness’ city centre nightlife offering comes after Gavin Stevenson, owner of the city’s Gellions and Highlander bars, has acquired the vacated site of the former Revolution Bar.
Mr Stevenson’s vision for the venue is to partially plug the Ironworks gap and breathe new life into the live music scene.
Revolution closed on Sunday, August 11 after seven years in business.
