An Inverness cafe should be ready for opening in March.

Roots Cafe will open in the former unit of Velocity Cafe on Crown Avenue.

Roots is the name chosen by the two founders, River Elliott and Rebecca MacKintosh, who met working together at the cafe in 2021. They have built professional roots together in the cafe, and their roots within the community.

So far their Crowdfunder has raised over £10,000, with the aim of getting to £40k.

Roots were contacted for comment.
