New Covid-19 cases recorded in NHS Highland area for second day running

NHS Highland has recorded fresh cases of Covid-19 for the second day in a row after two further positive tests were registered in the past 24 hours.
It means there have now been three positive tests in the past two days.
The news came as Scotland recorded 20 new cases in the past day.
It means there have been 18,520 confirmed cases of the virus in Scotland since the start of the pandemic.
Despite the minor increase in the number of cases, there were no new deaths recorded in the past day.
In other good news, the number of people in hospital being treated for the virus fell again, down to 278 last night from 287 the day before. Only two of those were in intensive care.
Meanwhile, in other north of Scotland health boards there were solitary new cases recorded in both NHS Grampian and NHS Tayside for the second day in a row. They have now registered 1442 and 1784 positive tests respectively since the pandemic began.
The Northern Isles and Outer Hebrides once again recorded no new positive tests in the past 24 hours.
