Inverness’s newest care home is set to open its doors to the local community this weekend before it welcomes its first residents.

Parklands Care Homes has built its newest care home, Pittyvaich, in Milton of Leys.

And it will host a special community drop-in event this Saturday, June 14, from 1pm to 4pm to mark its completion.

The event is an opportunity for anyone considering long-term care - either for themselves or a loved one - to meet the Parklands team and tour the new 58 bed care home.

Those interested in a career in care are also being encouraged to attend and speak with members of the team about opportunities at Parklands.

Parklands is also keen to welcome local community groups, as it looks to build lasting partnerships in the area.

Jaime McNab, manager at Pittyvaich, said: "We look forward to welcoming the community to Pittyvaich and showcasing our fantastic new home. This drop-in is a chance for people to see our new facility, ask questions, and for us to begin building strong connections with our neighbours and local organisations."

Pittyvaich will welcome its first residents on Monday, June 16.

Pittyvaich Care Home is located at Leys Square, Milton of Leys, Inverness, IV2 6HF.
