High Life Highland and Highland News & Media (HNM) have joined forces to offer readers a special offer in August.

As a highlife member, people can get 50 per cent off an annual subscription to titles such as the Inverness Courier, Ross-shire Journal, John O’Groat Journal, Strathspey & Badenoch Herald and the Northern Times.

The offer, running throughout the month, also provides unlimited access to online content, and to the new app where people can enjoy e-editions of all 18 newspaper titles, daily updates, archive access and puzzles.

High Life Highland chief executive Steve Walsh said: “We’re pleased to be working with Highland News & Media to bring another great benefit for our highlife members.

“We provide services to local communities right across the Highlands and we know that for people looking to keep up-to-date with news, they turn to their local newspaper.

“I hope our members will take advantage of this offer which is part of a huge range of benefits being a highlife member brings, from discounts at your favourite shops to admission to our leisure centres, offering a wide range of health and fitness opportunities.”

HNM content editor Andy Dixon said: “Our business is accelerating in a digital direction and we want to take as many people with us as possible.

“There’s neat synergy with HNM and High Life Highland because we serve the same communities.

“We want to inform and entertain people with local content that you’re simply not going to get anywhere else.

“I believe this partnership will help us reach more people at a time when awareness of local news – as well as the impact of bigger picture happenings on local people – is so important to us all.”

The offer starts on Monday and is for a digital + annual subscription, providing access to HNM’s 18 titles for just £24.99.
