Youngsters at Auldearn Primary, Tomnacross Primary and Smithton Primary are among those who have got dressed up to recreate the famous story before the big day.

While Covid-19 has meant live audiences sadly having to be kept away, pupils still managed to enjoy their nativity plays, which were recorded or livestreamed so family and friends could watch all the action at home.

With P2 and P3 children dressed for the part at Smithton Primary, stars and fairy lights helped to make their recorded performance extra festive.

P1 pupils at Tomnacross, meanwhile, wore festive jumpers and tinsel garlands to celebrate the occasions.

And at Auldern pupils enjoyed getting on the specially constructed stage for their one off performance, in front of a backdrop decorated by themselves with golden stars.
