Man’s body recovered from car in river

A man’s body has been recovered from a car which went into a river.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Tay Street, Perth, at around 1.55pm on Saturday.

Police said the body of a man was recovered from the vehicle.

He was believed to be the only person in the car, which had gone into the River Tay.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
