Nairn Rosebank School Nursery praised in latest inspection report
A Nairn nursery received a top-notch inspection report, praising its staff and its “culture of continuous improvement.”
The Care Inspectorate published the results of an inspection carried out at Rosebank School Nursery - based at Rosebank Primary - rating it as “very good” across all areas inspected.
According to the report, staff nurtured children “with genuine warmth and compassion”, fostering their overall wellbeing, as well as their capacity to anticipate to children’s individual needs.
“Children were having fun as they experienced high-quality play and learning opportunities,” the reporter stated.
“They were meaningfully leading their play, supported by staff who knew when to stand back and when to get involved, sharing the children's sense of fun.”
The leadership was also praised, highlighting the strong teamwork and respect for others across the team.
It stated: “The management team, including the senior practitioner, had worked with children, families and staff to create a shared vison for the setting, with shared values positively informing practice.
“They encouraged everyone to be responsible for positive change, which was resulting in high quality care, support and learning experiences for children and their families.”
Members of staff were highly praised, and were found to be providing individualised support to children - with the setting being “effectively staffed”.
The report stated: “Staff interactions were compassionate, warm and caring. The management team and staff had high aspirations for all children, and this was evident in the care and support they received. “
