Inverness Sheriff Court has heard a man breached bail because he wanted to cut his nails.

George Wright (26) had been banned from visiting a house in Beauly, but he went there on June 13 to collect some of his belongings, including nail clippers.

The court heard that he told his solicitor John MacColl: “How else am I supposed to cut my nails?”

Mr MacColl told Sheriff David Sutherland: “This man needs social work intervention. He has some mental health issues and lacks comprehension.”

Wright, of Wyvis Drive, Nairn, had sentence deferred until July 31 and was further remanded meantime.
