A Christmas tractor run for charity will be held in and around Nairn this weekend.

Families will be able to enjoy a brand new festive event in aid of a good cause this weekend.

A charity tractor run is set to take place on Saturday organised by the Nairnshire Farming Society and Nairn Junior Agriculture Club with the support of the local Rotary club,

It will raise funds for Mikeysline, the Held in our Hearts baby loss support group, RHET (Royal Highland Education Trust) and Brain Tumour Research.

Tractors decorated for the occasion will arrive at Davidson Park on Saturday from 3pm, with lights switched on at 4.15pm, before following aroute that will take them to Auldearn, Piperhill, Cawdor, Croy, Tornagrain, Ardersier and then back to Nairn High Street and The Links for a finish at around 7pm.

Waiting for the audience at the finish line will be Santa’s sleigh, catering units and music for a community Christmas celebration.

Organisers posted on Facebook: “We are delighted to announce our first ever Christmas Tractor Run!

“Join us on Saturday 7th December as we visit various spots around Nairnshire with decked out illuminated tractors to raise money for 4 incredible organisations

“Along with Santa and his sleigh there will be catering units and music at The Links, it’s shaping up to be a wonderful evening for all the family.”
