Nairn Car Sales, a rebrand of the car sales operating at family-run business West End Garage, is supporting Wheels of Nairn as its title sponsor.

The event, organised by Nairn Connects BID, will take place at Nairn Links on September 24. Nairn Rotary Club is also a major player in the event.

Nairn Car Sales was officially launched last month and is run by father and son team Hamish and Dean Clark.

Dean said the business was delighted to be involved in Wheels of Nairn and was looking forward to the rally: “West End Garage was a sponsor at Wheels of Nairn when it first took place in 2019 and it was a great day. We saw that it was coming back and it seems a great opportunity to get the new branding out there.

“It’s a natural fit and we are delighted to be involved. We are getting involved in more community events and supporting more clubs, such as Nairn St Ninian Women’s Football Club and St Ninian Bowling Club.

“It’s important for us to get involved in these opportunities and be supportive.

“Nairn BID is doing a fantastic job at bringing opportunities to the town and in making it look great, it’s really important that we grasp these and make sure that people visit the town to see how lovely it is.”

Dean, whose family purchased West End Garage in 1990 and now employs nine members of staff including an apprentice, explained why they have taken the decision to rebrand the car sales side of the business: “West End Garage has always carried out car maintenance and car sales, but we feel now it is time to market the two separately.

“The car maintenance side of the business is at capacity and we decided it makes sense to create a new trading name that can focus solely on the car sales side of things.

“Everything is staying in the same location, offering the same great service but having the two trading names allows us to reach out to a wider audience and let them know what we are doing.”

More than 170 vehicles are now registered to attend Wheels of Nairn. In 2019, it was deemed to be a huge success with more than 200 vehicles on show. This year, organisers are hoping to attract up to 250 exhibitors.

Lucy Harding, manager of Nairn BID, said the organisation was delighted to have the support of Nairn Car Sales: “We want to thank Dean, his family and staff for supporting Wheels of Nairn. Sponsorship is such a huge part of any event and we really appreciate the support.

“We wish the new brand all the best for the future.”

She added: “We are very excited about the return of Wheels of Nairn and have been astounded by the interest in it so far. The Links is a superb venue and the event will appeal to the whole family as it will also incorporate stalls, face painting, teacup rides and other attractions such as huskies and a number of food vendors.”
