Nairn car dealer is back as sponsor of popular show Wheels of Nairn
A NAIRN car business will be backing a popular classic and modern vehicle show for the second time this year.
Wheels of Nairn organisers – which will take place at the town’s Links on September 23 – were delighted to welcome back Nairn Car Sales as title sponsor.
Nairn Car Sales is run by father and son team Hamish and Dean Clark and is the car sales sector of West End Garage which sponsored the event when it first ran in 2019.
Dean said the business was delighted to be involved in Wheels of Nairn again.
He said: “We are so excited that Wheels of Nairn is back. It is a brilliant event with so many amazing vehicles, great atmosphere, and of course, footfall. It was a super way for us to get the new Nairn Car Sales branding out there last year and we are delighted to be able to support the event again.
“We really enjoyed the day itself and it was wonderful being able to meet so many of the vehicle owners and learn more about their passion.”
Dean, whose company also supports Nairn St Ninian Women’s Football Club and St Ninian Bowling Club, added: “It’s important for us to get involved in these opportunities and be supportive. Events like these are so important for the town. They drive footfall and bring different groups of people into the area.”
The event is run by Nairn BID with support from Nairn Rotary Club, and sees other sponsorship opportunities for local businesses.
Last year, Wheels of Nairn attracted almost 6,500 people to the event and Lucy Harding, Nairn BID manager said they were pleased to be bringing it back again.
She said: “The events calendar for Nairn is now back on track following the break that Covid caused and we are so excited to be welcoming Wheels of Nairn back for a third time. We already have almost 200 entries, a great food offering and a number of stallholders ready to come along, so once again it will be a great day out.”
