A ROSS-SHIRE lifeboat crew moved quickly when paged to an alert on the Black Isle yesterday.

But they showed no signs of being deflated when they discovered what the mystery object spotted floating off the coast in Avoch actually was.

The 2.30pm call sparked the shout to RNLI Kessock.

It later posted: "As you can see, our volunteer crew will always spring into action when the pager sounds, even if the object turns out to be a rogue inflatable hot tub."

It said: "We are grateful to the well-meaning public who call Maritime and Coastguard Agency."

It thanked partner agencies and included the hashtags #alwaysoncall #bettertocheck #everysecondcounts and #ripinflatable

A local resident was later able to clear up the mystery, stating: "That was in my garden, and the strong wind blow it off last week."
