After many long months of closed doors and restricted hours due to Covid, volunteers at Nairn Museum are excited about welcoming visitors to their exhibitions at Viewfield House from Monday.

Manager Melissa Davies said the team was looking forward to the prospect of having visitors back in the museum, which is a popular attraction with both locals wanting to find out more about their town’s families and history and tourists eager to learn about the heritage of the area and its strong links with the fishing industry.

The museum’s current exhibition is A Woman’s Place: Prominent Women from the History of Nairn and the next exhibition Retail Therapy: Shops and business of the Old Market Town of Nairn will run from August 28 to October 23.

The public are assured all Covid restrictions are in place to ensure maximum protection for visitors and staff as they tour the exhibits.

Charges are £4 per adult and children are free to visit the collection.
