Speaking after the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI) announced that the site of its former base in Longman Road, Inverness is now being marketed for sale Mr Mountain said: "I welcome that the ‘for sale’ sign has now gone up at the site of the former Inverness College.

“This is a prime site for regeneration.

"I hope that any new development of the site will be of high-quality and bring a construction jobs boost to Inverness."
