A mother working night shift slept in during the day and was late to pick her daughter up from school.

But Rasa Szeloch (42) of Upper Cullernie, Balloch, had been drinking before going to bed and was still under the influence when she drove on January 20.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard police called to Balloch School breath-tested her.

A later blood test revealed she was more than one and a half times the drink-drive limit.

Szeloch admitted her guilt and was fined £470 and banned from driving for a year.
