A MORAY man who wanted £10 from his mother so he could leave his Inverness home has been fined £395.

Erin Allan (22), of Hill Street, Craigellachie appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted abusive behaviour in the parental home at Woodgrove Court in Inverness.

Fiscal depute Martina Eastwood told Sheriff Gary Aitken that Allan sent a number of text messages to his mother who refused to give him the money.

“He became increasingly irate and when he returned to his mother’s home, there was an argument,” she said, adding that he continued to insult his mother’s partner and the police were called on February 12.

Defence solicitor Marc Dickson explained that his client wanted the money so he could go elsewhere as he was unhappy at home.
