An ever-popular exhibition of model railways is set to delight rail enthusiasts of all ages in Inverness again later this month.

The Inverness and District Model Railway Club will be holding its annual two-day exhibition in the Highland capital once more on Saturday and Sunday, August 17 and 18.

This year’s event is expected to welcome no fewer than eight working model layouts in scales T, N, OO9, OO and O.

There will also be three trade stands and a pre-owned stall.

Entry to the exhibition is £5 for adults, and £2 for each accompanied child. A family ticket for two adults and two children is also available for just £10.

The event, which is being held in the Leonardo Hotel in Millburn Road, will run from 10am to 5pm on the Saturday, and from 10am to 4pm on the Sunday.

Parking is free and the event will be wheelchair accessible.
