A woman reported missing from the Inverness area over the weekend has been traced “safe and well”, police have confirmed.

Officers had launched an appeal for help tracing Dawn Robinson (55) on Sunday amid growing concerns for her welfare. She had not been seen since a sighting in the Academy Street area of the city at around 8.25am on Saturday.

But, in an update shortly after 2pm on Monday, officers confirmed that she was safe.

A spokesperson said: “We can confirm that Dawn Robinson, who was reported missing in Inverness, has been traced safe and well. Thank you for sharing our media appeal.”
