Missing mum and daughter were last seen in Inverness

Police are appealing for information to help track down a missing 57-year-old woman and her 13-year-old daughter who were last seen around a month ago.

Catherine Costello and her daughter Eve Pender have been reported missing from their home on the Isle of Lewis.

Officers said they were last seen at the bus station in Farraline Park, Inverness, at around 2pm on Wednesday, February 22.

A police spokesman said: "They were reported missing to police on Friday, March 17. Enquiries are ongoing to trace them as soon as possible to ensure they are safe and well.

"They are known to travel throughout Scotland frequently and regularly visit Glasgow.

"Anyone who has seen Catherine or Eve since Wednesday, February 22 or anyone with information on their whereabouts should contact 101 quoting reference number 3089 of March 17."
