An Inverness councillor has highlighted the plight of a Milton of Leys playpark which has once again flooded following heavy rainfall.

The facility, which lies not far from the local primary school, was under inches of water on Saturday after the city was hit by the deluge.

Duncan Macpherson, who represents Highland Council's Inverness South ward, shared these pictures via his Twitter social media account to raise awareness of the issues surrounding the site.

He said it had been plagued with puddles and suggested, as it was fully submerged, it could be a health and safety hazard.

The following day he shared more pictures of a Milton of Leys footpath, in Cedarwood Avenue, which looked more like a stream when it had water cascading along it.
