A Nairn primary school has closed its nursery today.

The move has taken place at Millbank Primary School due to staff shortages in nursery and other staffing pressures within the school.

In a statement a spokeswoman said: "I am very sorry to inform you that I have had to make the difficult decision to close Millbank Nursery today.

"This is due to staff shortages in the nursery and other staffing pressures within the school.

"I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and will let you know as soon as possible for tomorrow."
