Sarah Rankin has launched her new cookbook Feast - which she will be presenting with a special event in Inverness next month.

An Inverness-born chef and food writer will be launching her new book in the Highland capital next month — with a cooking demo in one of the city’s newest food venues.

After the success of her first cookbook Kith, MasterChef finalist Sarah Rankin is back with a new collection of recipes ahead of the festive season.

Feast was released on October 2 and features 15 specially curated menus to provide inspiration for various occasions.

The book will be launched on Tuesday, November 11 at 5pm at Eastgate’s new dining area Scran Kitchen — an event organised by the local Waterstones branch.

Sarah will be demonstrating how to make two dishes from her latest cookbook as well as providing some delicious samples for attendees to taste.

After the demo Sarah will be siging copies of Feast and on-hand to discuss her approach to food and entertaining.

Sarah — a MasterChef finalist, chef, food writer, host, and passionate advocate for seasonal cooking.

Talking about her new book, she said: “It's very Scottish and very rooted in my history and my growing up with my family — that was really important to me in that sense. This is just a lot more the kind of everyday food that we eat.

“There’s lots of other influences. There's French influence and Middle Eastern influence and the kind of stuff that we love eating.”
