Inverness MasterChef finalist Sarah Rankin to cook at exclusive event for An Talla

MasterChef finalist Sarah Rankin, from Inverness, is making an appearance at An Talla in Dochgarroch on June 30.

Sarah is passionate about Scottish produce, believing it to be amongst the best in the world.

At An Talla, she will do a cooking demonstration of her most loved dishes and attendees will get to sample six different items from the An Talla menu, including some new dishes prepared alongside An Talla head chef Stuart Matheson, as well as Sarah’s favourite gin cocktail.

Sarah said: “Fresh and tasty are the starting points for everything I cook, and food is ultimately all about flavour for me.

"I try not to restrict myself to traditional Scottish dishes and am inspired by lots of other cuisines.

"There is almost nothing I won’t eat.

"I do always try to cook seasonally and use ingredients I can source locally wherever possible.

"Although I live in Kinross now, I am very often home in Inverness to visit family and friends and I cannot wait to come back and cook up some of my favourite dishes at An Talla.”

Freda Newton, managing director of Loch Ness by Jacobite, who opened An Talla in 2019, said she is is delighted to have Sarah on board.

She said: “I am a big fan of MasterChef and followed Sarah’s progress throughout the competition.

"Her passion for cooking and using local produce mirrors our shop local support local ethos and I just knew we had to invite her to cook at An Talla. Anyone who comes along to the evening with Sarah is in for a real treat.”

Sarah Rankin will cook at An Talla on Thursday June 30, 6pm until 9pm.
