Man stabbed in Inverness this evening

A man has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Inverness.

Police went to the scene in Nelson Street just after 5.30pm today.

It is believed the man was stabbed more than once.

A force spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a serious assault in Nelson Street at around 5.35pm.

"A man has been taken to hospital with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries. Enquiries are ongoing."
