Co-op in Inverness targeted by shoplifter

A 23-year-old Inverness man who stole two bottles of alcohol from the Church Street Co-op store in the city was jailed for four months.
Colin Saunders, of Telford Street, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted the charge of shoplifting which occurred on August 6.

Fiscal depute Adele Gray told Sheriff Gary Aitken that the value was £36 and there was no recovery.
Defence solicitor advocate Mike Chapman told the court that his client was currently serving a 51-week prison sentence.
