Man in court after high-speed chase through Inverness

A 20-year-old man appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court today following a high-speed car chase through Inverness.
Maceij Babel from Reading is charged in connection with an incident which occurred at Inverfarigaig yesterday, after a number of police cars were seen travelling towards the Dores roundabout.
He made no plea to charges of assault to injury, dangerous driving, refusing to stop for police, driving while disqualified, without insurance or a licence and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
He was committed for further examination and released on bail.
