Sentence deferred for man who ignored court order

A 20-YEAR-OLD Ross-shire man who defied a court ban preventing him going to his girlfriend’s address in Inverness has been given a chance to show good behaviour.

Ryan Renicks, of Westford, Alness, appeared from custody at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted a breach of bail.

The condition of not entering Birnie Terrace in Inverness was imposed on April 30 and Renick’s trial was fixed for October 1.

Fiscal depute Robert Weir said that police had gone to Birnie Terrace to investigate a reported disturbance. “When dealing with that matter, they found Renicks asleep in a cupboard,” he added.

Sentence for the breach was deferred until October 1 for good behaviour.
