Cornwall man faces charges of setting fire to caravan in Lochinver and house in Nairn





A 42-year-old Cornwall man has appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court on two charges of wilful fireraising.

Russell Chittenden made no plea to both allegations which involved setting fire to a caravan and destroying it, causing damage to a neighbouring property in Inverkirkaig, Lochinver on May 9.

Chittenden is also charged with setting fire to a house in Little Mill, Nairn on the same date.

He was committed for further examination and released on bail.
