Man dies on High Street in Aviemore

Emergency services including an air ambulance were called to the vicinity of the War Memorial on Aviemore's Grampian Road this morning to assist a man who had fallen ill.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a man having taken unwell on Grampian Road in Aviemore around 8.45am.

"Officers and medical staff attended but the man was pronounced dead a short time later.

"There are no suspicious circumstances."

Details of the man have not as yet been released.
